My name is Sophie Niel and I am 47 years old.
Originally from Annecy, I lived 22 years in Paris and 2 years in the United States as part of my studies and my work, before settling in Provence in December 2019.
My journey
I have worked with passion as a Concierge for 17 years in the following luxury hotels and palaces in Paris:
- Scribe Hotel
- InterContinental Le Grand Hôtel Paris
- Four Seasons George V Hotel
- Fouquet's Barrière Hotel
- Hotel de Crillon
I also had the opportunity to work 2 years in the United States as a Concierge at the Crowne Plaza Resort hotel located on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina (which became Sonesta Resort in 2012).
In parallel, I was a member of the french Golden Keys association from 2001 to 2016.
I speak 4 foreign languages: English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese. I also have notions of literary Arabic and Japanese.
During my career in the hotel industry, I have regularly assisted heads of state, government delegations, royal families, ambassadors, politicians, famous writers, show-business stars, world-famous artists, top models, businessmen/women, cac40 executives, top athletes. I am used to working with wealthy and demanding french and foreign clients.
In March 2022, after five years spent in the Executive Assistantship, I decided to set up my own company in order to give meaning to my work, to find a certain proximity with my clients and to be able to better reconcile my professional life with my personal life.
On June 8, 2022, I joined the Aix incubator Interface in order to test the viability of my business project for a few months before launching it. Thanks to this incubator, I can legally exercise my activities and I am accompanied in the creation process by business specialists. Simultaneously, the french insurance company MAIF agreed to cover all my activities (private concierge & property management) up to 30 million euros.
Since November 2022, Victoria & Co. is a member of the following professional networks:
- CLF (1st network of independent concierge services in France)
- Azalée Lambesc (network of Lambesc companies)
What motivates me as a freelance concierge is above all the customer relationship, but also days that are not alike, bringing solutions to sometimes complex problems, putting my knowledge into play, facilitating the daily life of my customers, making myself useful, using my knowledge of foreign languages, and finally developing lasting bonds of trust with my professional entourage.
